NORFOLK, Va. — 42-year-old Santino Blow said years of painful complications from sickle cell disease have left little room for making memories.

When 13News Now met Blow at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, he was five days into yet another hospital stay. It came just weeks after a seven-day admission and only months after another hospitalization that lasted two weeks.
